1. Online Directory

BCMS is authorised to produce a comprehensive Tourism Wales UK-Staying in Wales online directory and visitor guide at http://tourism.wales.info powered by Google Maps® for location information and Booking.com for online real-time booking.

The directory and guide covers all aspects of interest to visitors with Google Maps® showing their locations in relation vice versa to visitor accommodation complete with route planning information.

The directory is designed to help visitors pre-plan their holidays, and hospitality providers to help guests plan days out during their stay.

2. Directory Entries

Tourism Wales UK directory entries are available to providers selecting 'Staying in Wales' as a Visit Wales distribution channel at http://mybusiness.visitwales.com or registering direct with Tourism Wales UK.

External links are carefully vetted but such is the nature of the worlwide web that the Tourism Wales UK cannot vouch for their accuracy on an ongoing basis.

Tourism Wales UK will use its best endeavours with support from providers to maintain the accuracy of all information and content. Tourism Wales UK cannot be held responsible, however, for inaccuracies in information provided by third parties or for any consequences thereof.

Tourism Wales UK recommends that contact is made with providers direct to confirm any information before embarking on a visit.

3. Accommodation Bookings

Tourism Wales UK is a Booking.com affiliate partner in Wales and encourages subscription members that have three or mor bookable serviced rooms or self-catering untis to sign up to Booking.com in order to appear live on the http://booking.wales.info map with red markers linked to their direct booking pages.

4. Google Maps

All Tourism Wales UK-Staying in Wales websites are powered by Google Maps® and BCMS is on the Google Local Business Center (LBC) Whitelist to help business listings be accurate on these maps.

Accurate Data
Tourism Wales UK-Staying in Wales members must agree to provide accurate data for any business listing submitted. The information supplied for each listing must be accurate, undisputed, authoritative, current facts specific to each particular business location. Members must provide their primary direct local phone number specific to their business location for the listing rather than a number that serves many locations. Likewise, members must provide the home page address of the primary web site of the particular business location submitted.

Primary Source
By submitting a business listing to Tourism Wales UK-Staying in Wales, members give express consent to BCMS to act as the primary source of business listings data supplied to Google Maps®. Listings on Google Maps® are free via Google's Local Business Center (LBC) where business may add a listing without working through an agent or Google® whitelisted partner like Tourism Wales UK. Many small businesses, however, are unaware or have little time to take advantage of this, which is why Tourism Wales UK has introduced this service with the information it has readily available from members.

9. Licences

BCMS is exclusively licensed and authorised to use the Wales.info domain to:

9.1 Establish classifications and categories in all sectors Wales (public, private and voluntary) in Wales and to register and manage Wales.info domain names relating to them.
9.2 Register personal Wales.info domain names to individuals living in Wales and organisations working in Wales that can show their entitlement to the names available and that fit the Wales.info classifications and categories established.
9.3 Ensure that Wales.info domain names registered in accordance with 8.2. above are exclusive and personal to individuals, or to individual properties forming the basis of a private business.
9.4 Ensure that the registration of unhyphenated Wales.info domains covers registration of the equivalent hyphenated version.
9.5 Invite businesses acting as agents for individuals, or agents acting for private business, to apply to become Wales.info partners.
9.6 Reserve the right to refuse or withhold registrations where applicants are unable to show their entitlement to Wales.info domain names requested or where they do not fit established classifications and categories.
9.7 Welcome requests for the creation of new Wales.info classificactions and categories with their adoption and establishment at the discretion of BCMS.
9.8 In the event of duplicate applications, to offer alternative Wales.info domain names, which, in the case of individual names and property names may include an additional character to differentiate them from earlier registered names.
9.8 Encourage individuals to use a middle name or patronym to differentiate their Wales.info domain name applications from others.
9.9 Offer up to five Wales.info email adresses with each Wales.info domain name, prefixed in accordance with registrants' needs.
9.10 Reserve the right to refuse Wales.info prefixes that are considered unsuitable.

10. Undertaking

Tourism Wales UK-Staying in Wales undertakes to provide accurate, timely, accessible and fully-networked information to assist visitors in their choice of destination and to book accommodation.

11. Tourism Wales UK-Staying in Wales: Basic Membership

Basic membership is free to VisitWales registered businesses, Regional Tourism Company members, and members of other sectoral groups that form part of the Wales Tourism Alliance. Basic members gain free listings on the Tourism Wales UK-Staying in Wales network and receive regular alerts and bulletins providing reports on marketing activity and planned new developments.

All basic members have the option of enrolling in the Tourism Wales UK Programme at http://tourism.wales.info if they wish.

12. Tourism Wales UK Programme Enrolment

Tourism Wales UK-Staying in Wales basic members enrolling in the full Tourism Wales UK Programme at http://tourism.wales.info gain access to a wide range of live online marketing services at a 33.3% discount:

12.1 From 2010, basic members paying an annual 33% discounted subscription of £120.00 +17.5% VAT (£141.00 total) gain all the marketing benefits and features shown at http://tourism.wales.info/features.asp.
12.2 Annual subscription membership covers the calendar year 1st January-31st December and can be paid by PayPal, cheque, telephone or internet banking.
12.3 Monthly subscription membership of £15.00 +17.5% VAT (£17.62 total) is available to PayPal account holders only.
12.4 New benefits that come on stream during the calendar year are automatically included at no extra cost.
12.5 Subscription members are also able to take part in year-round Internet marketing campaigns of their choice at no extra cost
12.6 Rates shown are for individual properties in one location in order for the location mapping to function correctly.
12.7 All subscription memberships are dealt with online using the forms provided. Confirmations and invoices with date and time stamps are automatically generated by the system as soon as the form is submitted online and these are sent to the email address in the form.
12.8 Email invoices are payable by return with a 7 day cooling of period in keeping with online trading standards.
12.9 All queries must be made using the return email address within 7 days of the date shown on email confirmations and invoices and in case of dispute, the date and time stamps on the email confirmations and invoices, and the email address to which they are sent, stand as proof of order and contract.
12.10 Toursm Wales UK reserves the right to refer late payments for collection to a third party for which there will be a minimum charge of £25 +VAT plus interest on the amount outstanding from invoice date at a rate of bank base rate plus 2%.

13. Tourism Wales UK Community Network

The Tourism Wales UK Community Network is a social network that can be joined free by TW subscription members who may place as much text and any number of pictures up on the network as they wish, join discussion groups, run blogs and interact with visitors generally.

14. Map-Enabled Managed Web Pages

For the benefit of subscription members:
14.1 Managed web page content is supplied initially by Visit Wales.
14.2 Members can use their login details to change their content and monitor performance. Members should ensure that all information provided is accurate and in keeping with their Visit Wales accreditation.
14.3 Managed web page content consists of name, address, telephone number, approximately 100 words (500 characters) of description, two photographs, details of facilities, rates, attractive location maps unlimited 'Our location' text, two website links, and an email enquiry form.
14.4 Location maps cover a radius of approximately 10 miles from the property zooming to 6 miles (with separate maps covering public transport) and are linked to information on. Attractions, Events and Restaurants in the area. Street-level mapping is planned for linking to Entertainment, Pubs, Shops and Local Services as soon as new license agreements are signed.
14.5 Enquiry forms will only function properly if up-to-date email addresses are provided. It will also be possible to divert email enquiries to mobile phones.
14.6 Enquiry forms are optional for Attractions and Restaurants.
14.7 Copyright and intellectual property rights over microsite and website design and network functionality rest with BCMS.

15. Login

Members subscribing to Special Membership Packages receive a Username and Password allowing them to access their MyAccount pages, change their details and monitor performance. Login details can be memorised by the server for quick and easy access and can be changed at any time. There is a facility to retrieve forgotten login details if necessary.

16. Login

With broadband coverage extending to over 99% of the UK and 8m subscribers already signed up, SIW has ratcheted up its online presence through close association with the new Wales.info portal for Wales.

16.1 All visitor information at the new portal is provided by SIW whose members benefit from the search engine marketing carried out for Wales by the portal.
16.2 Online newsletters are emailed regularly to 10,000 holidaymakers that have registered to receive them. This number is expected to grow considerable through SIW's association with the new portal.
16.3 Festivals and events are key in attracting visitors to Wales and generating enquiries for accommodation. It is for this reason that SIW has direct links to WalesCalendar.com.
16.4 Copies of market research information are available from the online archive.

17. Online Help

Email assistance is available at tourism@wales.info with response provided within one working day.

19. Network Performance

Network performance is covered by a 24/7 Service Level Agreement between TW and its Internet Service Provider (ISP) who undertake to provide a response within four hours to reported interruptions.

Members receive alerts and bulletins providing tips on improving own website performance and details of new developments. Back issues are available from the online archive.

21. Exclusions

SIW with support from its members, will use its best endeavours to maintain the accuracy of all information and content and to maintain communication with consumers without breaks in transmission. Neither SIW nor its Members can be held responsible for inaccuracies in information provided by third parties or breaks in transmission beyond its reasonable control or for any consequences thereof.
